So, often I get asked if I sell my paintings and if so what do I charge?
Well, there's the rub, what DO you charge for something that has no intrinsic value other than the cost of paint and canvas and time?
I've tried the cost of materials + my hours spent on it charged at the usual hourly rate at current place of work and sometimes I come up with a price that seems ok, sometimes it seems too much, sometimes too little.
I find it hard to charge a price for something I've created purely because I made it so somehow it seems to hold no value (I don't mean that in a 'my work is worth nothing' way just that I can't put a monetary value on it)

So, if anyone is reading this, how do YOU put a price on your work?
